Three contrasting covers of James Brown‘s Please Please Please. First Mike Zito‘s laid back, Midwestern twang; then The Godfather himself; and finally Black Joe Lewis‘ funk conception. The original is still the best in my opinion, but listen to all three. The song is very adaptable to new interpretations.
