This will be a very interesting discussion at The International Blues Challenge. I can say for myself, the blues has a very restorative effect, and there have been some great stories of healing through the music. If you happen to be in the Memphis area at the end of the month, make a point of going. Stanislove and Polly O’Keary will be representing Washington at the 2017 IBC. Past champions include The Wired Band from Tacoma in 2012 (they’ve since become a gospel band) and Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons from Seattle last year.
