WGLT from Illinois State University is streaming the blues 24×7. It’s a blend of old and new, and many familiar artists as well as some more obscure. At different times there’s a DJ, but usually the music carries itself. WGLT is a public broadcasting station, so it’s free in that there are no ads or subscription fees. They do ask for an occasional pledge. If you like it and use it, keep it going with a modest donation.
Speaking of pledges, KNON is having a pledge drive and getting little response during their daily (4 to 6) blues programming. They’re hinting that they may reduce or even drop it from their schedule. Let them know people are listening.
