Local radio station KEXP is about to make a move to a new headquarters, with a larger space for in-studio music guests (now open to the public) and outdoor concerts in the summertime. It looks like it will be a community gathering place (the emphasis is on “public engagement”), not just a studio.
KEXP is an independent affiliate of of the University of Washington, a non-profit radio station with a wide range of eclectic music, from local and national artists and every popular genre. Programming includes the Sunday morning Preachin’ the Blues (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) and Wednesday night’s Roadhouse (6:00 PM to 9:00 PM).
