Rick Bowen will be passing the sticks to new drummer Mark Holton for Michelle D’Amour & the Love Dealers. Bowen is focusing on the Stacy Jones Band, and his final night with the Love Dealers will be at the Feedback Lounge in West Seattle on Friday, April 17th. Bowen will play the first set, Holton the second.
Holton was first inspired to play the drums by Ringo Starr. I can appreciate that. I once had a dream where Starr led me to the music to free my tortured soul. He’s played and sung for many Northwest bands, touching everything from blues to rock to funk. He describes himself as a groove oriented drummer. It will be interesting to hear the transition.
