The Highway 99 Blues Club has signed a two-year lease and will remain on the Seattle waterfront through at least 2017. The new building owners had stepped up the rent by $10,000, or 255%, effective the first of 2016; the club seems to have negotiated something more reasonable for now, although details have not been disclosed. Delays on the tunnel might have moved them to reconsider; once the viaduct is gone, that will be prime real estate. We’ll see if they’re still accommodating at the end of this lease.
