Itching to get out for a night on the town, but tapped out? KPLU and The Washington Blues Society are both having contests for a free show. KPLU is offering tix to swamp blues and boogie woogie piano player and singer Marcia Ball on July 18th at the Jazz Alley. Marcia’s upbeat music will make you forget your stone broke blues.
WBS is having a drawing for Eric Bibb & Corey Harris, also at the Jazz Alley. Bibb and Harris are folksy, acoustic, delta blues performers who strive to preserve the roots of the blues. It will be an interesting and entertaining evening.
