Joe mixes funk and blues for a very entertaining and high energy style. Think Howlin’ Wolf and James Brown. His third album moves away from his blues roots, but Tell ‘Em What your Name Is and Scandalous are foundations for the rising blues funk movement. Check out his Get Yo S**t. He doesn’t sing it anymore, and it isn’t really blues, but shows how funny and creative he can be.
