Rolling Stones – Around and Around
The Stones were the headliners in the 1964 TAMI show, but came right after James Brown. This was a tough act for Mick Jagger to follow. Anything coming after Brown’s high-powered, enthusiastic stage performance would be anti-climactic. So he mimics Brown, and comes up with his own “chicken dance” that would become so famous in years to come.
The Stones are releasing a new album in December, Blue & Lonesome, covering blues artists who inspired the Stones in their early days. There are couple of tracks on the radio right now, and they sound very good. They’re only posting teasers on the web, but this unofficial video might be up for a couple of weeks.
