The International Blues Challenge is a little different this year. Washington Blues Society will have two competing rounds to decide who to send to the national competition in Memphis. The semifinals open on Memorial Day at Capps Club in Kenmore starting at noon and going until 7:00 PM. There are seven performing artists, some familiar and some new and rising. If you don’t already have plans for the holiday, this will be a good way to spend it. The lineup is

Later first-round dates are June 4th at H2O in Anacortes, June 11th at The Sports Page in Yakima and June 18th at The Roadhouse in Spokane.
