I went to the concert on the waterfront late, and just missed The Highway 99 All Stars. They were removing their equipment from the stage when I arrived. The last show, however, was not a disappointment. Patti Allen & Monster Road. The band warmed the crowd up, and they were pretty tight, but Patti is the star, and she really puts on a show. She has the energy of Tina Turner and the showmanship of Mick Jagger. There was even a cover of Jumpin’ Jack Flash. They’re regulars at the club, so get out to see them sometime. Their next show is Thursday the 24th.
