The 23rd annual Mt Baker R&B Festival opens tonight, and there are some pretty impressive names on the schedule. Brett Benton starts his five week tour as the opening act, and Southern Hospitality, Sonny Landreth, and Ana Popovich bring some star power to the lineup. Brett was impressive at the Highway 99 last night; he plays delta and country blues with the power of a rock star. He was a finalist at International Blues Challenge this year. There are some pretty good players throughout, and it will be a fun and jamming weekend. Tickets are on Ticket Tomato with prices from $35 for Friday only to $140 for all three.
