Immanuel Presbyterian Church is hosting a long lineup of local blues artists for a special cause: Tacoma Creates is a ballot initiative to provide more arts and culture resources to every neighborhood and public school in town. Voters will be asked to approve a one-tenth of 1% sales tax to bring presentations and events like Sunday’s NW All Star Blues Vespers. Tacoma is already known for its museum and theater districts, but this is an opportunity to expand on these and give everybody a stake. Think about a vibrant, diverse future when you cast your vote in November.
