The North Bend Theater has a double blues rock bill in its concert series Wednesday, featuring Ayron Jones and presenting the rising Nick Mardon as the opener. I’m a big fan of Ayron. If you read this blog, you know who he is, and I won’t go into it again here. Just see him any chance you get. Nick is relatively new to the blues scene; he’s done everything from jazz to metal, but with The Nick Mardon Blues Trio, he’s getting traction and gaining fans. He makes me think of Mike Zito, with his deep, pinched voice and blazing guitar. Admission is $20. NMB3 starts at 7:15PM, AJ at 8:30PM. There will be drinks. Go out for a great lineup at a historic venue.
