Guitarist Rafael Tranquilino is well known in Mexico, where he tours frequently. But he’s lived in the NW for over 12 years, spending the first five years as lead guitarist and musical director for The Randy Oxford Band, then forming his own band in 2011. He plays searing blues rock and fuses some funk in his music as well. The band is on tour again, but you can usually catch them north of Seattle and in the Everett area. Watch for them in January.
