There are a couple of worthy fundraisers this weekend, and Polly O’Keary and her band are involved in both. On Saturday, she’ll be the headliner at the Washington Blues Society’s Beale Street Bound Benefit, with proceeds going to expenses for our representatives in the International Blues Challenge in two weeks. It starts at 1PM with Miranda Kitchpanich & Nick Mardon, and continues till 6PM at Louie G’s Pizza in Fife. On Sunday, she’ll will be presenting her annual fundraising jam for the school kids of Nicaragua at Peabo’s Sports Bar & Grill. Give her credit for using her music as a social force. The schedule:
