Alzheimer’s and dementia can be devastating to patients and their families, and are irreversible, with no medical cure. But social worker Dan Cohen of Music and Memory finds some hope for these people through song. He brings them an iPod and watches them come to life. Alive Inside documents his work. It’s interesting throughout, discussing, among other things, our neurological response to music and our earliest development of it.
