If local venues are struggling, they aren’t showing it at Triple Door. There was another packed house last night with people wining, dining, and taking in Curtis Salgado onstage. His band was an eight-member ragtag assembly but was really in sync; he orchestrated them when he came out on the stage and the phasing was amazing. He sang some old favorites, as well as songs from Legacy Rewind, recorded live last year at Triple Door, of course. One that stood out was 20 Years of B.B. King. Written by Salgado and Dave Duncan, the lyrics include “I learned more about the blues from two weeks with you, than 20 years of B.B. King.” Another great night, although I had to leave early again.
