European Copyright Madness: Court Strikes Down Law Allowing Users to Rip Their Own CDs
The recording industry doesn’t have a clue. In their greed they drive people underground, to file sharing sites and flouting laws like this one. WTF would somebody do with a medium restricted to their homes? I’m sure the industry hopes this will force people to buy two media, both magnetic and digital. More likely they’ll ignore it, or stop buying CDs altogether. How would they enforce this, anyway?
