Monday’s IBC semi-finals had two winners: Amber Sweeney for solo and CD Woodbury & F.A.T.T. for band. I’m having trouble digging up information on the band, but CD is a long-time fixture in the NW blues scene, playing in local and national venues with The CD Woodbury Band and others for decades. Amber hails from Vancouver and blows audiences away with her sweet voice streaming out her stirring blues and soul. Both have the talent and the heart to go far in the nationals, but there’s another round to go here, first.
