KEXP has announced a new host for its Saturday night Audioasis program. Audioasis is three hours of northwest bands and musicians, some obscure and some emerging, and all genres, worth setting your dial or stream. One such emerging band is The Black Tones, and guitarist/vocalist Eva Walker will be taking the mic beginning September 8th, replacing long-time host Sharlese Metcalf. If you’ve heard the band’s music or seen them on stage, you know that Eva has a charismatic and high-energy personality that should bring excitement. Sharlese is a career broadcaster; the switch to a musician will be interesting. The show is from 6:00 to 9:00.
