Accessibility and the music scene

I’ve been helping a VIP (visually impaired person) get lined up with Linux on her laptop. It’s been challenging. I didn’t understand the extent of her impairment and kept pointing and giving her visual instructions. That wasn’t helpful. I got frustrated and finally went home. I spent the weekend doing some research and we’ll meet today. I think she’ll be up and running.

This makes me think, where else do we overlook accessibility? The music scene seems pretty inclusive, but what if you couldn’t watch a live show and enjoy the action onstage? What if you couldn’t even hear the melody? I have a mental illness that confines me sometimes, but I can only imagine what it would be like.
